Prince Maurits of Orange-Nassau, van Vollenhoven

His Highness Prince Maurits Willem Pieter Hendrik van Vollenhoven, Prince of Orange-Nassau (born 17 April 1968), is the eldest son of HRH Princess Margriet of the Netherlands and Mr Pieter van Vollenhoven. He is a member of the Dutch Royal Family, and currently 7th in line of succession to the Dutch throne.

He has three brothers:

Bernhard van Vollenhoven (b. 25 December 1969) m. Annette Sekrève (b. 18 April 1972)
Isabella Lily Juliana van Vollenhoven (b. 14 May 2002)
Samuel Bernhard Louis van Vollenhoven (b. 25 May 2004)
Pieter Christiaan van Vollenhoven (b. 22 March 1972)
Floris van Vollenhoven (b. 10 April 1975)

In 1987 Prince Maurits performed military service with the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps and the Royal Netherlands Navy. He graduated in economics at the University of Groningen in 1995, after which he worked for the Schiphol Airport Authority.

In 1989, he met Marilène (Marie Helene) van den Broek (b. 4 February 1970), the youngest daughter of Hans van den Broek and Josee van den Broek-van Schendel. They were married on 29 May 1998. They have two children, Anna (b. 2001) and Lucas van Vollenhoven van Lippe-Biesterfeld(b. 2003). They are expecting their third baby in June 2005.

Since 2001, the prince has worked for Philips DAB BV.
