Norway is mostly supplied by norwegian-generated hydroelectric power, and it is one of the foremost countries in the world as regards expertise in the field.

Unfortunately, it has not been able to apply that expertise to itself; the power grid is littered with transients, and also appears to be somewhat underdimensioned.

Norway routinely imports and exports power on the Scandinavian grid, usually both at the same time; the net effect seems to be leaning more and more towards import.
