Peter Murphy (born July 11, 1957) was a member of Bauhaus who has also released solo albums, such as Deep and Love Hysteria. In the 1990s Peter Murphy converted to Islam and has been influenced very much of the Sufism. Later he moved to Turkey.

Bauhaus had their Resurrection tour in 1998. All the members are still working on music.

Murphy was role model for James O'Barr's comic character Eric Draven (The Crow).
