Party of the Liberal Front (Brazil)

The Party of the Liberal Front (Portuguese: Partido da Frente Liberal, PFL) is a political party in Brazil. It is the second largest party in the Brazilian National Congress , with 84 out of 513 deputies, and 19 out of 81 senators.

It is considered to hold centre-right political and economic positions, though it is also generally regarded as a very "pragmatic" party, often engaging in political alliances with parties whose position on the political spectrum is diametrically opposed to the PFL's.

It was part of FHC's government coalition, and is currently one of the two main opposition parties to Lula's labour government (the other being the social democrat party).
