Omega (Ѡ, ѡ) is a letter of the early Cyrillic alphabet, descended from the Greek Omega (Ω, ω). These early letters were called Archaic letters. Omega was the last letter of the Greek aphabet and was shaped like an upside-down horseshoe. The Greek Omega only made the "oh" sound (show) unlike Omikron (Ο, ο), which made the sound "o", (pot).
