Not One Less is a 1999 drama movie by Chinese director Zhang Yimou. It centers around a young school teacher in the Chinese countryside who is placed in charge of the school after the previous teacher leaves. She is told not to lose any students, and when one of the boys takes off in search of work in the big city, she goes looking for him so that she might bring him home.

Made like a documentary-drama using a troupe of non-professional actors, the theme of the story is rural poverty and illiteracy, and Zhang often retains their actual names in the film.
