The National Bank of Poland (Polish: Narodowy Bank Polski), is the central bank of Poland. Poland is also a member of the European Union organisation, the European System of Central Banks.
The bank issues Poland's currency, the Zloty.
The bank's current chairman (as of December 2000) is Leszek Balcerowicz, a former Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Poland.
