Motosu (本巣郡; -gun) is a district located in Gifu, Japan.
As of 2003 population statistics but counting only the town of Kitagata, the district has an estimated population of 17,667 and a density of 3,417.21 persons per km². The total area is 5.17 km².

Mergers
On February 1, 2004 the former towns of Itonuki , Motosu , and Shinsei merged with the former village of Neo becoming the city of Motosu.
