Mullah Mohammad Rabbani (1955/1956 - April 21, 2001) was one of the main founders of the Taliban movement. He served as prime minister of Afghanistan and head of the advisory council. He was second in power only to the supreme leader, Mullah Mohammed Omar, in the Taliban hierarchy.
He died, at age 45, in a military hospital in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, of liver cancer.
