Micki + Maude (1984) is probably one of the best films of the late, great Dudley Moore's film career. Moore played Rob Salinger, an overworked television reporter. It co-stars Tony-award winning actress, dancer, and singer Ann Reinking (of Annie, Chorus Line) as Micki, a lawyer who eventually becomes promoted to a judge, and is Rob's first wife. Then there's Maude, played by Amy Irving, a cellist who meets Rob during a TV interview, then falls in love with him, and vice versa. Also in the movie is Richard Mulligan, who plays Leo, Rob's boss.
The movie was directed by Blake Edwards. In 1985. Moore won the Golden Globe award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy/Musical. The film was also nominated for Best Motion Picture - Comedy/Musical.
Rob inadvertently gets Maude pregnant, then tries to divorce Micki, who then drops a bombshell, when she announces she's pregnant. Faced with a dilemma, Rob decides not to divorce Micki, but marries Maude anyway. So now, he has 2 pregnant wives about to give birth at the same time.
