Median Eminence
The median eminence is part of the inferior boundary for the hypothalamus. It lies in the area roughly bounded by the cerebral peduncles posterolaterally and the optic chiasm anterolaterally.
Specifically, the median eminence is a small swelling on the tuber cinereum posterior to the infundibulum. These are on top of the pituitary stalk.
