Max von Sydow
Max von Sydow (born April 10, 1929 in Lund, Sweden) is a Swedish theatrical, television and film actor.
It was through his association with director Ingmar Bergman, with whom he made about a dozen films, that von Sydow earned his international reputation, most notably in The Seventh Seal.
He is probably best known in the English-speaking world for his role as a priest in The Exorcist, and as Christ in The Greatest Story Ever Told. Other appearances include the James Bond movie Never Say Never Again (as the head of S.P.E.C.T.R.E.), Minority Report, Hawaii (as Abner Hale), Flash Gordon (as Emperor Ming) and Conan the Barbarian, though his most critically acclaimed roles have been in dramas like Pelle the Conqueror. It could be said to be characteristic of him that he has played God, Jesus Christ, Lucifer, and an exorcist. His voice is also heard internationally in many commercials and voice-overs.
