The M163 Vulcan Air Defence System consists of a 20mm M61 Vulcan Cannon mounted on an M113 APC chassis in addition to an AN/VPS-2 rangefinding radar and an optical lead-calculating sight. It is a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun (SPAAG) with a 6000 rounds-per-minute rate of fire.
