History
It was founded in 1980 by former Formula One driver Niki Lauda. In 2003, Austrian Airlines bought out the remainder of Lauda's stake. The airline now operates flights under Austrian's name and IATA code, OS. It is being aimed at the charter and holiday market, although the Lauda brand will likely be dropped in favour of the standard Austrian Airlines brand.

Services
Lauda Air's flagship route is daily (except Mondays) service to Sydney, Australia, flight OS 1. Lauda also flies to Melbourne, Australia three times weekly. Both flights use Boeing 777s and stop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
