Synonymous to hell, the use of the phrase "Lake of Fire" can be found in the Book of Revelation four times - Re 19:20 (chapter 19 verse 20), Re 20:10, Re 20:14, and Re 20:15 as God's messages are revealed to John (its author). The book itself foretells future events prior to, during, and after the Great Tribulation, which has yet to come.
The Beast and the False Prophet
"...and the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet..." who have led men astray will both be cast alive into a "Lake of Fire burning with brimstone."
"... and the devil that deceived them was cast into the Lake of Fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."
"... and death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death."
"... and whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire."
