Korsun-Shevchenkivskyy (or Korsun'-Shevchenkivs'kyy, Ukrainian: Корсунь-Шевченківський; Polish: Korsuń Szewczenkowski)- city in Ukraine, in Cherkas'ka oblast'. Population 18,593 (2005 estimate). Until 1944 the city was known simply as Korsun, afterwards it was renamed to honor Taras Shevchenko.
