Kor

Kor (Qor in Klingon) is a character from the fictional Star Trek universe. He was the first Klingon to be shown on television, played by John Colicos, and one of three original series Klingons to also appear on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Kor is a dahar master. When his firstborn was killed by a genetic virus unleashed by an Albino Klingon, along with the firstborns of Kang and Koloth , they swore a blood oath with Curzon Dax to exact revenge on the Albino, carried out with Jadzia Dax in 2370. In 2372, Kor with Dax and Worf to the Gamma Quadrant in search of the legendary sword of Kahless. The trio found the sword, but Kor and Worf realized that if the sword was reintroduced to Klingon society, it would cause division rather than unity. The sword was later beamed into space - Kor said of the trio's discovery, "It was our destiny to find it, but not our destiny to keep it."

In the episode Once More Into The Breach, year 2375, a fleet of ten Dominion ships pursued three damaged Klingon birds of prey, disabled in part because of a fit of senility by Kor himself. To prevent the Jem'Hadar from destroying the other two birds of prey before they could reach Sisko's squadron, Worf decided to lead one of the ships into a suicide attack at the Dominion ships. Kor tricked Worf and took his place in leading five other volunteers into the attack that successfully disabled the Jem'Hadar just long enough for the rest of the Klingons to be able to escape them. Kor died gloriously, as a warrior, a prerequisite for Klingons to enter Sto-Vo-Kor.
