Kawakami (川上町; -cho) was a town located in the former Kawakami District, Okayama, Japan. On October 1, 2004 the town merged with three other towns into the expanded city of Takahashi, Okayama and no longer exists as an independent municipality.
As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 3,853 and a density of 44.33 persons per km². The total area was 86.91 km².
