Jude Wanniski

Jude Wanniski is an American journalist and conservative commentator. He is perhaps best known for being the associate editor of The Wall Street Journal from 1972 to 1978 and coined the term supply side economics. His book, The Way The World Works reintroduced classic economic theories and was highly influential for the Reagan administration.

In 1997 Jude Wanniski founded the online learning centre known as the "Supply Side University". He also runs an organisation devoted to political commentary and another that offers investment advice (Polyconomics).

He became a somewhat controversial figure at the beginning of 2003 when he vocally opposed much of the thinking behind the impending US war with Iraq. In October 27, 2004, he came out publicly endorsing the Democratic candidate, John Kerry, over George W. Bush, saying, "Mr. Bush has become an imperialist – one whose decisions as Commander-in-chief have made the world a more dangerous place.". [1]

Mr. Wanniski has a B.A. in Political Science and an M.S. in Journalism from the University of California, Los Angeles.
