John Bosco Chuabsamai Manat (born October 31 1935) was the bishop of Ratchaburi 1986-2003.
He was ordained into priesthood on May 10, 1961, working in parish, school, and seminary posts in the diocese of Ratchaburi. In 1976/77 he studied at the Catholic University, Washington DC to obtain the Master degree in philosophy, and after returned teached at the Lux Mundi seminary, the only major seminary in Thailand. In 1984 he became rector of the seminary. When Joseph Ek Thabping , the bishop of Ratchaburi died, father Manat was nominated as his successor. On January 6, 1986 he was consecrated in Rome.
In May 1993 during a visit in Manila he came into contact with the Society of Saint Pius X. After making his "conversion" public in 2002, he resigned as bishop on July 24 2003 to avoid harm to the diocese.
