Jermaine Dye

Jermaine Terrell Dye (born January 28, 1974 in Oakland, California) is a right fielder in Major League Baseball who has joined the Chicago White Sox for the 2005 season. Dye also has played with the Atlanta Braves (1996), Kansas City Royals (1997-2001) and Oakland Athletics (2001-04). He bats and throws right-handed.

Dye attended Consumnes River College in California, and was selected by Atlanta in the 1993 amateur draft.

In a nine-season career, Dye is a .272 hitter with 161 home runs and 611 RBI in 1039 games. He made the American League All-Star team in 2000.
