Jatiya Party (National Party) is a Bangladeshi political party. It was founded by the military dictator Hossain Mohammad Ershad. Today the party is split into three factions, Jatiya Party (Ershad) , Jatiya Party (Naziur) and Jatiya Party (Manju) . Currently the Jatiya Party (Ershad) is the fourth largest party in Parliament; with 14 seats out of 300 available; and got a 7.5% share of the vote at the 2001 general election.
