Jari Litmanen is a Finnish football player. Currently, he is playing for FC Lahti in Finland. He also plays for, and captains the Finland national football team. He has been part of FC Barcelona, Liverpool F.C. and, most notably, Ajax Amsterdam squads, and can play both as a midfielder and as a striker. He became the first Finnish footballer to gain wide international fame while playing for Ajax in the 1990s. He was the Champions League (European Cup) Top goal scorer in 1995.

Jari Litmanen is the best goal scorer in Finland's national team scoring 24 goals in 87 games.
