Hush... Hush, Sweet Charlotte is a 1964 film with Agnes Moorehead, Olivia de Havilland, Bette Davis, Joseph Cotten and Victor Buono. It was directed by Robert Aldrich, who reunited with What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? stars Davis and Buono, as well as Baby Jane scribe Henry Farrell to make the film that stands as probably the finest achievement in the psycho-biddy genre. It was intended as a follow-up to Baby Jane, with Davis's co-star Joan Crawford replaced only days before shooting with DeHavilland.
The plot can only be described as southern gothic, concerning murder, guilt, family rivarly and the (apparent) ghosts of the dead.
