Highland Cattle)
Highland cattle are an ancient Scottish breed of cattle, with long horns and shaggy pelts. On export to the American colonies they became the breeding stock of the Longhorn. Originally black, through selective breeding their predominant colour today is brown.
There is a Scottish Highland Cattle Society . The breed is affectionately known as "shaggy coos" in parts of Scotland.
