Ninth grade

Ninth grade is a year of education in the United States and other countries nine years after kindergarten. Students are usually 14-15 years old. It is usually the first year of high school and student at this level are called high school freshman.

In the United States, in mathematics, ninth graders are usually taught either Algebra 1 or Geometry. Algebra II is also taught to those ninth graders who are prepared for it.
