History and Information of Helm

  • History and Information of Helm

Helm is known as the 'Vigilant One', the 'Great Guard', and 'The Watcher'. Before the Time of Troubles, Helm was a respected deity. The worship of Helm dropped dramatically in the Northern areas in the advent of the Time of Troubles, since many citizens of Faerun blamed the role Helm played during the Time of Troubles as the root. Suprisingly however, in the South, Helm's following is still strong and has, if anything, grown since that time. Helm's alias as the 'Vigilant One' is given merit by his followers with great enthusiasm as they train often and vigorously so they can rise to the defense when ever that call is signalled. As such Helmites are highly respected and revered throughout Faerun.

How Helm fits into Baldur's Gate II: Shadow of Amn and Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal

  • In Baldur's Gate II: Shadow of Amn there is a quest in the 'Temple District' about the 'Cult of the Unseeing Eye', that enables the player to become a member of the cult.
  • In Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal a major quest is offered to the player via Priests of Helm.
