Groningen University Theatre Society
Commonly known as GUTS, the Groningen University Theatre Society is an amateur theatre company attached to the English department of the University of Groningen in Groningen, The Netherlands. It is run by students, who act, direct, and make up the Board
Its earliest beginnings, as the E.S.C. Drama Society have been traced back to 1968, when Everything In The Garden by Giles Cooper was performed. GUTS puts itself to perform at least one play per academic year , a number of which are listed below.
Currently, GUTS has one play in production: An Ideal Husband by Oscar Wilde, to open on21 April 2005.

In a number of instances, GUTS has adapted or written original works. These include:
- Bloomsday, an adaptation of James Joyce*s Ulysses
- The Son Of The Morning , an original play written and directed by Lolu Ajayi and Cornelis Krottje
- Christmas Pantomime and From The Ivory Towers , both credited to GUTS as a whole.
