Greg Moore

Greg Moore (born April 22, 1975; died October 31, 1999) was a Canadian race car driver.

Moore was born in New Westminster, British Columbia. Growing up, his racing hero was Ayrton Senna. Residing in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, he spent four years on the CART circuit, winning four races in 72 career starts for Player's Forsythe Racing. He earned the Vanderbilt Cup for his victory at the 1998 U.S. 500 race

Moore's career and life came to a tragic end in 1999 during The 500 Presented by Toyota at the California Speedway in Fontana, California. Friend and fellow Canadian Paul Tracy used the notes on Moore's chassis to score a come-from-behind win at the CART race at Long Beach the following year. Dario Franchitti dedicated his win in the Molson Indy Vancouver in 2002 to Moore's memory.
