European Union decision

The European Union decision (laid down Article 249/EC) is one of the three binding instruments of secondary Union legislaton of the European Community.

Adopted by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union (if the Codecision procedure is used) or by the Council alone, or by the European Commission in certain circumstances, they are binding on those to whom they are addressed (be it Member States, companies or even individuals).
