Dr. Eric F. Wieschaus (born June 8, 1947) is an American developmental biologist, much of his research has focused on embryogeneis in the friut fly Drosophila melanogaster. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1995 with Edward B. Lewis and Christiane Nusslein-Volhard as co-reciepients for their work describing the genetic control of embryonic development.
As of 2004, he was the Squibb Professor in Molecular Biology at Princeton University in the United States.
