Eden Seminary

Eden Seminary is a seminary supported by the United Church of Christ. The seminary was established in 1850 by German pastors in what was then the American frontier. The pastors soon formed the German Evangelical Synod of North America, and eventually became the United Church of Christ. It was conversations at Eden Seminary that eventually led to the merger of the Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Congregational Christian Church. Famous alumni of Eden Seminary include Reinhold Niebuhr and H. Richard Niebuhr. It is located in St. Louis, Missouri
