Earl Fortescue

Earl Fortescue is a title in the Peerage of Great Britain created in 1789.

The Earl holds the subsidiary titles of Viscount Ebrington (1789) and Baron Fortescue (1746), both in the Peerage of Great Britain. The Barony of Fortescue was created in 1746 along with the Earldom of Clinton, but possessed a special remainder, allowing the childless earl to be succeeded as Lord Fortescue by his half-brother, whose son became the 1st Earl.
