Eagle River (Alaska)

There are three Eagle Rivers in Alaska.

1. Eagle River (near Anchorage) flows from northwest from its origin at Eagle Glacier northwest to Eagle Bay in the Cook Inlet, 15 km (9 miles) northeast of Anchorage. Its native name was Yukla-hina. The Anchorage neighborhood of Eagle River is named after this river.

2. Eagle River (near Juneau) flows southwest from a lake at the base of another Eagle Glacier to a bay on Favorite Channel , 32 km (20 niles) northwest of Juneau. Early miners called this river Glacier River and Sitk Creek.

3. Eagle River (near Wrangell) flows northwest 13 km (8 miles) from Eagle Lake to Eagle Bay, 8 km (5 miles) southwest of the head of Bradfield Canal .
