Dateline NBC (sometimes called just Dateline) is a weekly television newsmagazine broadcast by NBC similar to ABC's 20/20 or CBS's 60 Minutes. The show, which has aired since 1992, is currently hosted by Stone Phillips . Previous hosts include Jane Pauley, Tom Brokaw, Katie Couric and Maria Shriver.

Notable incidents

Dateline NBC was found guilty in court of placing incendiary devices near the fuel tanks of General Motors pickup trucks, and then airing a story about the "questionable safety" of the vehicles.
