D.R.I., or Dirty Rotten Imbeciles, was a hardcore punk/thrash metal band from Houston, Texas; later based out of San Francisco, California and are often considered one of the most important bands of the Bay Area Thrash scene. While their first album was blindingly fast hardcore, they got thrashier and thrashier, eventually crossing over to thrash metal, as shown by 1987's Crossover and 1989's Thrash Zone. Their first album, Dirty Rotten LP, featured 28 tracks, over half of which were less than a minute long.
