The Corpus Christi Rayz are a minor-league ice hockey team based in Corpus Christi, Texas affiliated with the Central Hockey League. The "Rayz" moniker derives from the many different species of rays who inhabit the nearby Gulf of Mexico.

The team was established in 1997 and plays home games at Corpus Christi's new AmericanBank Center (ABC). Practices are held both at the ABC or at the team's old home, the Champion Toyota IceCenter at Memorial Coliseum, dubbed "The Igloo" by fans due to the fact that temperatures in the Coliseum dictated a dress that included sweaters and jackets, even in Corpus Christi's mild winters.
