Colin Clarke

Colin Clarke (born October 30, 1962 in Newry) is a Northern Irish football (soccer) player, who is currently the coach for F.C. Dallas of Major League Soccer.

Clarke was appointed interim coach during the latter half of the 2003 MLS season as a replacement for Mike Jeffries, and was appointed full-time to the position for the 2004 season. Before being appointed head coach, Clarke was an assistant coach for the Burn, and the head coach of the Richmond Kickers of the United States' A-League from 1998-99, as well as one year as head coach of the San Diego Flash.

During his club career, Clarke was a hugely important player for the Northern Ireland national team, for whom he scored 13 goals (second behind David Healy ) in 38 appearances. During his club career, Clarke played in 361 English league games, scoring 146 goals, for teams including Portsmouth F.C., Southampton F.C., and Queens Park Rangers.
