The Center for the Application of Molecular Biology to International Agriculture (CAMBIA) is a not-for-profit plant biotechnology research centre founded in 1992 and located in Canberra, Australia.
The Center works on developing mechanisms for plant improvement, and providing that technology to the developing world using an open-access or open source model. Biological Innovation for Open Society (BIOS) was initiated by CAMBIAs Executive Director Richard A Jefferson at the World Economic Forum in 2004.
