Carol Heiss Jenkins

(Redirected from Carol Heiss)

Carol Heiss Jenkins (born January 20 1940) was a figure skating gold medalist in the 1960 Winter Olympics.

Prior to the 1960 gold medal, she picked up a silver medal at the 1956 winter games in Italy (her US teammate Tenley Albright took the gold). Two weeks later at the world championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, West Germany, Heiss took gold. (She repeated this for the following four years.)

Following her retirement from figure skating in 1960, Heiss played the female lead in the film Snow White and the Three Stooges (1961).
