Cadbury Schweppes plc (Cadbury Trebor Bassett) is a chocolate and beverage company with its headquarters in London, UK. Jacob Schweppe developed a method to make mineral water in Geneva, Switzerland in 1783. In 1824, John Cadbury began vending tea, coffee and (later) chocolate in Birmingham, England. After his retirement, his sons Richard and George Cadbury created a major factory and purpose-built suburb called Bournville four miles south of the city. The two companies merged to form Cadbury Schweppes in 1969. Cadbury also has factories including those in Dunedin, New Zealand and Claremont in Tasmania.

As of August 2004, Cadbury Trebor Bassett has eight factories and 3,000 staff in the UK.

The company's United States beverage units include Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Inc., Mott's , and Snapple Beverage Group.

Since 1988, Cadbury chocolate products sold in the United States have been manufactured by Hershey's.

Cadbury is also the name of a part of the suburb of Claremont, in the city of Glenorchy, part of greater Hobart, in Tasmania, Australia, where there is a Cadbury factory.

Cadbury is also used as a mild derogative insult to describe someone who gets drunk easily (in Australian English). A Cadbury or Cadbury drunk is someone who will get drunk after 'a glass and a half'.
