Brenda Villa

Brenda Villa (born April 18, 1980 in Los Angeles, California) is a Mexican-American world-class water polo player for the US National and Olympic teams.

She was a girls 1st Team All-American all four years she competed at the high school level.

In college, she played for Stanford University, and scored 172 goals in three seasons. In 2002 she led her Stanford team to win the NCAA waterpolo championship; they had finished second the previous season, the first year the competition was held. She has competed with the USA National Team since 1997.

On the international level, she scored 10 goals for Team USA at the 2003 Pan American Games, which qualified the team for the 2004 Summer Olympics. She also played with the team at the 2000 Summer Olympics. She had a team-high 13 goals to lead USA to gold at the 2003 World Championships.
