Bobby Van

Bobby Van was born Robert Jack Stein in New York City on December 6, 1928. He was probably best known for his musical and acting career in Broadway in the 1960s and 1970s. He married fellow Broadway actress Elaine Joyce (his second wife), and together they appeared on game shows like Tattletales and Match Game in the 1970s. His last TV appearance was as the host for the "Mrs. America Pageant" in 1980. He emceed from 1977-1980. He died in Los Angeles on July 31, 1980 from a brain tumor at the age of only 51 and is interred at Mount Sinai Memorial Park in Burbank, California.
