B*witched

For the television programme, see Bewitched.

B*Witched are an Irish girl band, consisting of twins Edele and Keavy Lynch (sisters of former Boyzone member Shane Lynch), Sinead O'Carroll and Lindsay Armaou .

In 1999, when Blame It On The Weatherman hit #1, B*Witched became the only girl group in UK history to debut at #1 with their first four singles, following the massive C'est La Vie (1998's fifth biggest-selling single), Rollercoaster and To You I Belong. (At the time, they were the only act in history to have achieved this feat, until Westlife surpassed this record in 2000 with seven straight #1s).

That same year the group enjoyed brief success in America, with C'est La Vie reaching an impressive #9 on the US Billboard chart and their self-titled debut album going Top 20.

Jesse Hold On, the lead single from second album Awake and Breathe, signalled a stop to the run of UK chart-toppers, only managing a respectable #4 when it came out in autumn 1999. The following singles, I Shall Be There and Jump Down, fared even less well, missing the Top 10 altogether and B*Witched have been rather quiet since.
